Have you ever known one of those antagonistic people that is incapable of minding their own business and keeping their mouth shut when it pertains to you? You know… the ones that look for opportunities to pick at any little thing that they think is their business, and sit around and gloat about how nasty they can be.. feeling justified? It’s amazing really… in a sad way.
More amazing to me is the fact – a shame to even say this – that often these are self-proclaimed “religious” people. Charm and smiles and I’ll pray for you, honey when it suits them. Great. Then a minute later they when they decide that someone they don’t like is in their supposed space, they turn into a rude little harpie without real provocation. The really pathetic thing is, the less you say to them, the more they can’t stand it and the more aggressive they become because they just need to feed off of a reaction of some kind. I don’t know, but I think they call that emotional vampirism these days? Something odd like that. It makes me wonder… do you really have nothing better to do with your time? If you’re bored, go back to praying for people. At least that’s productive.
It’s a world of misinterpretations and busybodies. I love the friends in my life that will actually ask an intelligent question and have a conversation with me if they don’t understand how something has been said, or it didn’t feel right to them. Those are great people. The sorry part is when someone else steps in, uninvited, and thinks they know what is going on. Presumptuous… arrogant…. unnecessary….. juvenile……
